About

I am a research officer at the Agency for Defense Development. The work splits in two: service development on top of language models, and the infrastructure underneath them — data center infrastructure and Kubernetes, both operating it and building on it, for large-model training and efficient model serving.

My active research is on efficient inference — serving models cheaply, pushing them to the edge through quantization, and diffusion language models. Notes on that as it goes are on the blog.

Before commissioning I was a programming intern in Krafton's Deep Learning Division, splitting my time between the Service Dev team — LLM service development, DevOps, and infrastructure across AWS, Azure and Kubernetes — and inZOI, where I worked on serving small language models on-device with llama.cpp.

I studied Computer Science and Engineering at Seoul National University, graduating summa cum laude in February 2025.

Outside of work I captained the university Taekwondo team and served as vice president of the Catholic Student Association, and I built and designed things for both along the way — the team's website, the 60th anniversary exhibition site for the SNU Traditional Calligraphy Club, and the association's semester Mass posters. Those are collected under side works.
